Open Enrollment for the Affordable Care Act or "Obamacare" is coming up soon, local hospital Bay Medical Center hopes to educate and assist uninsured public with the process.
November 15th - February 15th, 2014 is the open enrollment period for ObamaCare,meaning that any uninsured persons can purchase a 2015 insurance plan during this time period.
Selecting insurance can be confusing, Bay Medical Center knowing this, is hoping to temper the confusion and hold an "Affordable Care Act Enrollment Fair" open to the public, at no charge.
The aim of this event according to a release by Barry Keel, CFO is to ensure the community at large has "complete and accurate information about health insurance options available to them through the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace."
Bay Medical Center encourages anyone in the Panama City area to come out to the fair to learn more about eligibility, coverage options, costs and premium payment assistance. as representatives from Florida Health Connector, the local agency for Florida Blue will be there to answer questions.

The location of the event will be in the Walsingham Board Room (off the Main Lobby) at Bay Medical Center. The entrance is on 6th street and free parking is available across the street from the Medical Center.
